A leader is essentially a person who can see what others can’t. He can see something that is more valuable and fulfilling but it is beyond the vision of others around him.
Once he notices a promising future he works hard for it. He sacrifices his today’s comfort for a better tomorrow. He not only works on his own. He shares his vision with his people and helps them visualize what he can see. People who are able to see his vision join him and start working for converting that vision into a reality.
Whenever the team loses sight of the future leader makes them visualize it again and motivates them to work even harder.
Vision, crystal clear vision is the most important quality of a leader. A leader is essentially visionary by default.
Now the question is why do people believe in a leader? When they can’t see what he can see? how do they believe in his thoughts and words?
How come people believe in a person so much that they are ready to sacrifice their comfort, money or even their lives.
what do they trust in their leader?
They don’t understand the actions of their leaders. They are unable to fully understand the thoughts of their leaders.
Even then they trust their leaders because they believe in the ideology and values of their leaders. They may not know everything but if they know their leader will work for the cause in the best and most integrated way they trust him, they work with him and sometimes they put everything on the stake on a single call of their leader.
So if you want to be an effective leader then have a clear cut vision which brings a promising future to your people and remain aligned with your ideology and visibly strong value system
Rest everything shall fall into the place.
